Senator Seum filed for retirement October 31, 2019. He currently serves as state Senator for district 38, which is most of Bullitt County and part of southern Jefferson county. Senator Seum has been a proud leader serving his community, and over the years he has taken on some very important issues that were costing his constituents millions of dollars and infringing upon their liberty’s, and quality-of-life.
Senator Seum helped eliminate the Vehicle Emissions Testing (VET), acquired major funding for one of the fastest growing districts in the state, and most recently went head to head with his own party on some key issues such as casino gambling, pensions, cannabis reform, and utter disrespect shown towards the people of Kentucky by our current governor.
Senator Seum has a long history of being a conservative working for the people, and he is heading into retirement with his integrity intact while continuing to stand up for the rights of the people.
